Abstract

Glaucoma, one of the primary causes of blindness worldwide, necessitates regular monitoring of Intraocular Pressure (IOP) to prevent vision loss. Current methods for measuring IOP, such as Goldmann applanation tonometry, involve direct contact with the eye, require skilled personnel, and necessitate the use of anaesthesia, limiting their practicality for regular at-home use. Non-contact techniques, like air-puff tonometry, offer a less invasive alternative but are generally expensive and confined to clinical environments due to their size and complexity. A critical need exists for a compact, cost-effective, and easy-to-use non-contact device that patients can safely operate at home. Such a device must deliver accurate and reliable measurements, enabling continuous monitoring and timely intervention to manage glaucoma progression
